What does it mean to have Strawberry Health subscription?

Strawberry Health subscriptions give you year-round access to comprehensive hormonal insights. Each subscription includes:
- Comprehensive at-home hormone testing kit delivered right to your door
- Personalized insights into your hormonal health based on your lab results
- Hormone health concierge to ask any follow-up questions
As part of your subscription, you’ll also have continuous access to new features and updates as soon as they’re released.

I only want one test - do I need a full-year subscription?

We believe in the power of annual testing. Your $249 subscription includes one comprehensive hormone test plus additional discounted tests if you choose to test more frequently - it’s all about building your baseline over time.
Your 1-year subscription also means you’re never alone with your results: you'll have full-year access to our platform and ongoing support to help you act on your data. Cancel anytime.

How do at-home testing kits work?

1. Order your kit: After becoming a member, we’ll ship your at-home test kit straight to your door.
2. Collect your sample: Our kits include simple instructions and all necessary materials. Sample collection is virtually painless, most members say it’s the quickest and easiest blood collection experience in their life.
3. Send it back: Use the prepaid packaging to mail your sample to our CLIA-certified partner lab.
4. Get your results: We’ll notify you when your comprehensive hormone results are ready in your Strawberry Health dashboard.

How do I collect my blood sample?

We use the most comfortable, convenient, and virtually painless method available. You'll receive a special device that gently attaches to your upper arm - similar in appearance to a continuous glucose monitor you may have seen. Simply stick it on, leave it in place for just 5 minutes, and remove it. It’s quick, completely painless, and nothing like those painful finger-prick tests.

What if I need more than 1 test a year?

You can easily add additional tests at a discounted rate. Perfect if you want to test semi-annually or quarterly.

Why is regular testing important?

Hormones naturally fluctuate, influenced by factors like age, stress, sleep, diet, and lifestyle. Regular testing helps you track your personal trends and spot changes early, allowing you to take proactive steps before minor imbalances become significant issues. Instead of spending years guessing and suffering, you’ll have clear, personalized data to guide you.

Can I get tested if I'm on hormonal contraception?

Yes, even if you're on hormonal contraception, we can still test your Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) levels. AMH measures your ovarian reserve - the number of eggs you have left - and provides valuable insight into your fertility status. However, because synthetic hormones influence your natural menstrual cycle hormones, other hormone levels won't accurately reflect your natural baseline while you’re on hormonal contraception.

Some women choose to pause hormonal contraception for 2-3 cycles to collect their baseline hormone data.

I’m already in menopause. Can I still use the test?

Absolutely. Your test results provide valuable insights into your current hormone levels and help pinpoint your exact stage of menopause. Regular testing can also confirm whether your Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is working effectively.

Does a doctor review my results?

Absolutely. Licensed clinicians both authorize your tests and carefully review every set of results. You’ll receive detailed insights and next steps based on your unique hormonal profile.

What’s included in my hormone health report?

Your Strawberry Health report includes:

- Detailed hormone levels for each tested biomarker.

- Clear explanations of what each biomarker means for your hormonal health, fertility, and possible perimenopause transition.

- A personalized Next Steps action plan, providing practical recommendations and guidance for lifestyle adjustments.

- Recommendations on next conversations with your healthcare providers.

What should I do if my results show hormonal imbalances?

If your results identify any hormonal imbalances, your personalized report includes actionable next steps, which may involve lifestyle changes or specific conversations with healthcare providers. If your current healthcare provider isn't specialized in hormonal health, we’re happy to help you connect with a provider who fits your specific needs and goals.

Can Strawberry Health diagnose me?

We do not currently offer medical diagnoses. While our lab tests are the same as those used by medical professionals, Strawberry Health focuses on providing you with comprehensive hormone insights. We always recommend working with your healthcare provider for any medical diagnoses or treatment.

Are Strawberry Health’s tests accurate?

Yes. All samples are processed through CLIA and CAP-accredited laboratories, which are trusted by healthcare professionals nationwide. Our tests meet the rigorous standards required for clinical accuracy.

Will Strawberry Health explain why I feel the way I do?

Strawberry Health offers robust hormonal insights and can highlight potential imbalances or deficiencies contributing to symptoms like fatigue, mood swings, brain fog, or insomnia. However, these insights are meant to support - not replace - professional medical advice.

How long will it take to receive my results?

Once the lab receives your sample, it typically takes about 1 week to process. We’ll notify you by email or text as soon as your results are ready.

What does it mean that Strawberry Health is in beta?

"Beta" means Strawberry Health is still evolving - some features may change quickly, and occasional bugs might occur. Your patience and feedback during this period help us build a seamless, empowering experience as we continuously improve and expand our services.

Will Strawberry Health integrate with wearables or other health apps?

Not yet, but stay tuned! We’re working on future integrations to give you a more holistic view of your health data in one place.
